Betty Ann Davis, 69, Medina, North Dakota, died Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center in Bismarck, ND.
Betty Ann Ottem was born June 26, 1940 in Minot, ND, the daughter of Ibsen and Audrey (Molden) Ottem. She attended elementary school at Norwich, north of Minot, and attended Williston High School, Williston, ND. She was confirmed at First Lutheran Church in Williston. On November 8, 1957 Betty married Everald \""Tewy\"" Davis in Plentywood, MT. They lived and worked in the Williston area until 1969, when they moved to Oregon for a year. They returned to North Dakota and lived in McClusky from 1971 to 1979, after which, Betty traveled with Tewy through Nevada, Colorado, Wyoming and Montana, before returning home to North Dakota in 1986. They settled in Medina, where they purchased Tewy's Tavern in 1986 and partnered together until her death.
Betty enjoyed gardening, flowers, fishing, camping, crossword puzzles, Jeopardy, watching the Twins and Vikings, playing pinochle, canning and she was a great cook. But most of all, Betty enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Betty is survived by her husband of 52 years, Everald \""Tewy\"" Davis, Medina; one daughter, Rhonda (Scott) Kensmoe, Hazen, ND; three sons, Randy (Debbie) Davis, New Salem, ND, Rod (JoEtta) Davis, Winnemucca, NV and Russ (Sharon) Davis, Bismarck, ND; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles \""Chuck\"" (Anita) Ottem, San Antonio, TX; one sister, Karen (Rick) Molden, San Anselmo, CA; sister-in-law, Alvina Ottem, Eugene, OR; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, David.
