Dale Lien

Dale ""Gopher"" Lien, 56, Jamestown, North Dakota died Monday, June 19, 2006 in Jamestown.

Dale was born July 26, 1949 in Bismarck, ND, the son of Marlyn and Helen (Schneider) Lien. He attended Jamestown High School.

Gopher was an avid bowler. He was manager for the Merchant and Amateur Baseball teams. He was a loyal friend to everyone he met and everyone loved him.

Dale is survived by five brothers and sisters: Linda (Michael) Kennedy, Corpus Christi, TX, Sharon Koehnen and Melvin (Cynthia) Lien, both of Jamestown, Mark (Jean) Lien, Arlington, TX and Kandice (Ray) Nelson, Valley City, ND; a special friend, Becky Whitney, Jamestown and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial Service: 5:00 PM, Sunday, June 25, 2006 at the Jack Brown Stadium in Jamestown.

Visitation: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Friday, June 23, 2006 and 1:00 to 5:00 PM, Sunday, June 25, 2006 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Dakota Amatuer Baseball or the American Heart Association.
