George Cromwell

George Cromwell, 62, of Kensal, ND died Saturday, May 15, 2010, surrounded by his family in Jamestown, ND.

George was born on June 2, 1947 on the family farm in Hurdsfield, ND, the son of Alexander and Marion (Newsom) Cromwell. He was raised and attended school in Hurdsfield, graduating from Hursdfield Public School. He later moved to the Kensal -Bordulac area in 1976, where he resided for many years. George made his living working for area farmers and for the last 17 years has been employed with the VanRay family.

George loved to hunt and fish. He especially enjoyed these activities when he could include his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed visting with friends.

George is survived by his three daughters, Tammy Cromwell, Fargo, ND, Becky (Clifford) Stoppleworth, Kensal, and Joni Cromwell, Aberdeen, SD; one son, Tony (Liza) Solberg-Kollman, Minneapolis, MN; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild on the way; one sister, Gail Martin, Goodrich, ND; one brother, James (Sandy) Cromwell, Harvey, ND; special friend, Darla Becker, Jamestown; one niece, Arnetta (Tim) Frueh, Buffalo, ND; and one nephew, LeRoy Cromwell, Fargo.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant sister, Ila June; one brother-in-law, Bob Martin; and Joni's mother, Cindy Schulz.
