Lowell Mosher

Lowell W. Mosher, 80, Jamestown, North Dakota died Tuesday, August 10, 2004 at Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown.

Lowell William was born March 9, 1924 in Jamestown, ND the son of William and Emma (Triebwasser) Mosher. He grew up and attended Jamestown schools graduating from Jamestown High School in 1943. Lowell entered the US Army on June 23, 1943 and served his country as a medic in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. He was awarded numerous awards and citations. He was discharged on January 21, 1946. Lowell returned to North Dakota and married Deloris Sauter on July 15, 1947 in Jamestown. Lowell continued to serve in the Armed Reserves and was reactivated to serve in the Korean conflict at Madigan Army Hospital, WA from January to October 1951. Upon his return to Jamestown he worked and managed various dry cleaning establishments in town.

Lowell enjoyed working in his yard, being with his family and cracking jokes.

He is survived by his wife, Deloris of Jamestown; three children, Cathy (Jay) Kauphusman, Overland Park, KS, Scott Mosher, Jamestown and Deb (Rick) Grabinger, Sauk Rapids, MN; five grandchildren, Dr. Tessa (Doug) King, Michael (Jen) Kauphusman, Jason, Luke and Katie Grabinger; three great-grandchildren, Adam and Sydney Kauphusman and Benjamin King; one brother, Richard Mosher, California; one brother-in-law, William Sauter; one sister-in-law, Marilyn (Milt) Joslin; a special cousin, Evelyn Telken and many nieces and nephews.

Lowell was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Edward and Morris Mosher and two sisters-in-law, Esther and Betty Mosher.

Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, Friday, August 13, 2004 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dennis Ellingsen officiating.

Visitation: 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Thursday, August 12, 2004 at the Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial : Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, North Dakota.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Jamestown Hospital.
