Neil Allen Spitzer

Neil Allen Spitzer, 75, passed away at Eventide Jamestown, Thursday, August 10, 2017 from complications with diabetes.

Neil Spitzer was born May 7, 1941 in Kensal, ND to August and Evelyn Spitzer. He graduated from Kensal High School in 1959. Neil married Bonnie Nogosek at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Fargo, ND in 1972. He farmed with his dad on the family farm until starting work at Ladish Malting. He worked there for 27 years. They made their home at Spiritwood Lake, then moved to Jamestown shortly after he retired.

Neil liked hunting and fishing and taking friends on road trips to tour small towns and visit with the residents.

Neil is survived by his wife; sister Sandra, Kensal, ND; six step-children, Cheryl (Rick Weller), Dazey, ND, Janel Messmer, Fargo, ND, Brent (Susan) Nogosek, Evanston, Wyo., Nancy Mack, San Diego, CA, Julie (Todd Kollman), Kensal, ND, Aaron (Aimee) Nogosek, Buchanan, ND; 22 grandchildren and 39 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Robert Hill, officiating. Burial will be in Kensal Cemetery at a later date.
