Wilbur Wahl

Wilbur Wahl, 76, Jamestown, North Dakota died Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, ND.

Wilbur was born October 23, 1932 in Eldridge, North Dakota, the son of Jake and Viola (Perleberg) Wahl. He was raised and attended school in Eldridge. Wilbur was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Luthern Church, Eldridge. On June 25, 1953 Wilbur married Lorraine Boschee at the Reformed Church, Wishek, ND. Wilbur worked at various night clubs in the Jamestown area. Wilbur was employed for Ottertail Power Co. He owned and operated the Korner Inn in Wimbledon, ND. After selling the Korner Inn, Wilbur drove truck for Davis Trucking.

Wilbur liked to hunt and fish and enjoyed visiting with people and playing cards. He loved his wife and children, Donna and Danny. He was very proud of his six grandsons and five great-grandchildren and loved to spend time with them all.

Wilbur is survived by his wife, Lorraine, Jamestown; daughter, Donna (Gary) Neys, Buchanan, ND; son, Dan Wahl, Fargo, ND; six grandsons; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Alice (Richard) Wanzek and Lila (Harold) Hennings, both of Jamestown; one sister-in-law, Harriet Wahl, Jamestown; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Vern.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Friday, May 15, 2009 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown, with Pastor Leon Zavadil officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 to 7:00 PM, Thursday, May 14, 2009 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown.

Prayer Service: 7:00 PM, Thursday, May 14, 2009 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.
