Adeline Tahran

Adeline Lillian Tahran, 87, Stockton, California, formerly of Jamestown, ND, passed away October 13, 2011 in Stockton.

Adeline Lillian Buck was born July 18, 1924 in Napoleon, ND, the daughter of Alex and Lydia Buck. She lived many years in Logan County, ND and Jamestown. Adeline married Harold Buck, who preceded her in death. She married William Tahran in 1951 in Jamestown. She later moved to and remained a longtime resident of Lodi, where she was active at First Baptist Church of Lodi.

While living in Jamestown, Adeline was active at Temple Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for many years. She enjoyed cooking and baking, and she cherished the times she spent with family, especially around the holidays.

Adeline is survived by her sons, Alan G. (Patty) Tahran, Sr. of Manteca, CA and Stan Buck of Lodi, CA; three sisters, Lorraine Wolff, Monticello, MN, Rita Herr, Minneapolis, MN, and Clara Staiger, Fargo, ND; one brother, Melvin (Edna) Buck, Minneapolis, MN; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Lenora Buck, Fargo, ND.

She was preceded in death by her husbands; son, Don Tahran; and brother, Arnie Buck.

Funeral Service: 1:00 PM, Friday, October 21, 2011 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, with Pastor Randy Jaspers officiating.

Visitation: 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Friday, October 21, 2011 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel.
