Adelle Knutson

Adelle Knutson, 87, Jamestown, North Dakota passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.
Adelle Disher was born July 14, 1929 in Bottineau, ND, daughter of James D. and Grace (Well) Disher. She graduated from Churchs Ferry High School and attended Miss Woods School in Minneapolis graduating with a teaching degree for kindergarten and elementary grades. She taught school for two years in Hunter, ND.
Adelle married Donald W. Knutson on June 20, 1951 in Churchs Ferry, ND. She worked for American National Bank in Valley City. In 1956 they moved to Jamestown where they have made their home ever since. In 1970 she was employed by Hjellum, Weiss, Nerison, Jukkala and Vinje Law Firm until her retirement in 1994. She is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a member and past president of PEO, Chapter K.
She is survived by her husband Don and two daughters; Pam (Kevin) Daniels, Loveland, CO and Lori (Bill) Norton, Lakeville, MN; four granddaughters, Anna (Mirza), Jan (Grant), Gina (Tony), Krista (Ben); four great grandchildren with a fifth arriving in the coming days and one sister, Ruth (Cuyler) Colwell, Gardner, ND. Adelle was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Dorothy Jean and one brother, Don Disher.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, March 24 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Susan Haukaas, officiating. Visitation will be held one hour before the service. Burial will be in Highland Home Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials, memorials preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church.
