Adolph Greshik

Adolph Edward Greshik, 93, passed away November 25, 2011 at Ave Maria Village, Jamestown, ND.

Adolph was born June 15, 1918 on a farm near Spiritwood, ND, to Cecelia Ann (Christ) and Stephen George Greshik. He went to a country school through eighth grade. In 1936 he traveled to Washington and worked on the Grand Coulee Dam. He returned home to help his father farm. On June 1, 1940, Adolph married Anne Marie Kilsdonk. They lived on various farmsteads in the Spiritwood and Buchanan area until 1959 when they purchased the home farm five miles south of Wimbledon, ND. In 1982 the couple moved to a home near Jamestown. In October 2007, they rented an apartment at the Heritage Centre. Adolph moved to the Rock of Ages in January of 2010 and to Ave Maria Village in February of 2011, where he shared a room with Anne.

Adolph loved the farm life. He continued to drive tractor into his late 80's. His main hobby was his D-7 Cat, which he used to bury rocks and push snow. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and collecting coins. Adolph loved his family. He and Anne were married over 71 years.

Adolph is survived by his wife, Anne, Jamestown; four sons, Steve (Enhua) of China, Tony (Sharon) of Laurel, MT, David (Vicki) of Jamestown and Dan (Sue) of Courtenay, ND; daughter-in-law, Adeline Greshik, Wimbledon; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Howard Musgrave of Tampa, FL.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Dennis ""Mike""; siblings, Ann Peters, Tillie Joos, Cecelia Scolen, Leonard Greshik, Joseph Greshik, Doris Musgrave and Ellen Ring.
