Agnes Domek

Agnes Hansted Domek, 97, Jamestown, North Dakota died Thursday, September 30, 2004 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home in Jamestown.

Agnes Holstad was born September 22, 1907 in Montpelier, North Dakota the daughter of John and Anna (Skogen) Holstad. She grew up in the Montpelier area and graduated from Montpelier High School in 1926. She attended Valley City State Teachers College and taught school for 3 years. Agnes married Percy Hansted on June 29, 1929. They farmed in the Jamestown area. He died January 6, 1974. She married Roy Domek in 1979 in Jamestown. He passed away June 4, 1999. Agnes lived all her life in the Jamestown area.

Agnes enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, reading, gardening, pinochle and animals, especially wildlife.

Agnes is survived by four children, Wanda Anderson, Bismarck, ND; Larry (Linda) Hansted, Jamestown; Judi (Larry) Idol, Salt Lake City, UT and Carol (Darrel) Stilwell, Littleton, CO, one daugher-in-law, Mabel Hansted, Jamestown, three step-daughers, nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, two sons, Doyle and Perry, four brothers and four sisters.

Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, Monday, October 4, 2004 at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Dennis Ellingsen officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Sunday, October 3, 2004 at the Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.
