Agnes Theolina Liudahl, Halstad, Minnesota, formerly of Kensal, North Dakota, died Thursday, March 13, 2008 at the Halstad Living Center in Halstad.
Agnes was born July 4, 1919 at Ypsilanti, ND, the daughter of Thore and Annette (Berg) Holand. She attended school and graduated from Greenland High School in Marion, ND. After high school she attended the New York Hair Dressing Academy in Fargo, ND.
She married Harold Liudahl on February 2, 1947. They lived in Enderlin and Carrington before moving to Kensal where they purchased Harold's Department Store and Agnes' Beauty Shop. In 1999 they moved to Jamestown. Agnes was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Kensal and later a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Jamestown. She was a member of the Kensal American Legion Auxiliary for 45 years. She also received an award for being a hairdresser for 50 years.
During her free time Agnes enjoyed reading, quilting, and most of all spending time with her family and friends.
Agnes is survived by a son, Keith (Beth) Liudahl, Kensal, ND; a daughter, LeeAnn (Jeff) Nelson, Perley, MN; a daughter-in-law, Judy Liudahl, Granger, IN; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; her parents; a son, Ronald; one sister, Mildred; and three brothers, Melvin, Ole and Orville.
Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Monday, March 17, 2008 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Kensal, with Pastor Tom Eckstein officiating.
Visitation: 1:00 to 7:00 PM, Sunday, March 16, 2008 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown.
Prayer Service: 7:00 PM, Sunday, March 16, 2008 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel.
Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.
