Alan J. Rick

Alan “Al” Rick, 76, Jamestown, ND, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2023 at Ave Maria under the care of Hospice after a 2 ½ year battle with cancer.

Alan was born October 8, 1947 to Delbert and LaRayne (Michel) Rick in Jamestown.  He grew up on a farm south of Jamestown and was still living there at the time of his death.

He graduated from Jamestown High School in 1965.  After graduation he joined the National Guard and served for 7 years. His last job before retirement was driving truck for a construction company.

Alan is survived by two sisters and one brother - Sandy (Ralph) Dick, Wimbledon, ND; Toni Briggs, Fruitland Park, FL; and Scot (Adrianna), Leesburg, FL; nephews Jay (Heather) Dick, Fargo, ND; Lee Dick, Courtenay, ND; and nieces Michelle (Hamilton) Cadwell, Taos, New Mexico; & Erica (Tyler) Lovelace, Umatilla, FL.

Alan was cremated, per his wishes, and will be buried with his mom and dad at Highland Home Cemetery in Jamestown, ND at a later date.
