Albert H. Deede, 94, Carrington, North Dakota, formerly of Woodworth, ND died Wednesday, September 17, 2003 at Golden Manor Nursing Home in Carrington. Albert was born May 9, 1909 in Anamoose, ND the son of John and Magdalena (Gehring) Deede.
When Albert was six years old he came to Woodworth and stayed with his grandparents, until his parents moved to Woodworth the next year. He attended school in the Woodworth area. Albert married Hattie Hochhalter on February 22, 1931 in Medina, ND. She died May 15, 1980. Albert's father helped him get started in farming and Albert farmed southwest of Woodworth until his retirement. Albert married Blanche Clark on March 12, 1983 in Woodworth. Blanche died December 8, 1993. Albert entered Golden Manor Nursing Home in Carrington in April 2002.
He served on several boards including Strong Township Board, Tri-County Electric, Dakota Central Communications and Farmers Union Oil in Pettibone.
Albert is survived by two sons, Larry Novotny, Woodworth and John A. Deede of Jamestown, one grandson, three great-grandchildren and one sister, Edna (Eugene) Carter, Woodworth.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wives, one granddaughter, two sisters and four brothers.
Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Monday, September 22, 2003 at the American Lutheran Church, Woodworth, North Dakota with Rev. Ellen Arthur officiating.
Visitation: 1:00 to 9:00 PM, Sunday, September 21, 2003 at Eddy Funeral Home.
Prayer Service: 7:00 PM, Sunday, September 21, 2003 at Eddy Funeral Chapel.
Burial: Gem Cemetery, Woodworth, North Dakota.
