Albert J. ""Shorty"" Eberhardt, 68, of Jamestown, ND died Saturday, October 12, 2002 at his home.

Albert was born November 2, 1933 in Windsor, North Dakota the son of Jacob and Louise (Stiehr) Eberhardt. He received his education in rural schools near Windsor. Albert worked on the family farm until enlisting in the US Army on February 11, 1953. He was discharged on November 29, 1955 at Ft. Lewis, WA and returned to Jamestown, ND. He worked for Northern Improvement road construction as a foreman for many years, working and travelling the western part of the United States. Albert married Margaret Binder in November of 1983 in Fargo, ND. They made their home in Jamestown where he worked for Lindberg Bros. Construction for several years. He was a member of the Jamestown Eagles and V.F.W.- Jamestown.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Eberhardt of Jamestown, ND; two step-daughters, Janice Harr of Jamestown, and Joanne (William) Seekins of Jamestown, ND; one step son, Michael (Tammy) Binder, of Fargo, N.D.; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; three sisters, Edna Anderson of Jamestown, ND, Viola Stickel of Kalamazoo, MI, Donna Mae (Henry) Bitz of Port Orchard, WA; two brothers, Raymond (Deloris) Eberhardt of Jamestown, ND and Donald (Vi) Eberhardt of Tucson, AZ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister.

Funeral Service: 2:00PM Tuesday, October 15, 2002 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel with Pastor Bryce Tahran officiating.

Visitation: Monday, October 14, 2002 from 1:00PM to 9:00PM at the Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, ND.
