Albert E. Schulz

Albert E. Schulz, 67, died Friday, November 22, 2002 at the Veteran Administration Hospital in Fargo, N.D.

Albert Edwin was born June 29, 1935 in rural Jamestown, N.D., the son of Edwin H. and Julia (Keller) Schulz. He grew up and received his education in Jamestown, N.D.

Albert entered the United States Marine Corps on November 20, 1953 at Fort Snelling, Minneapolis, MN. He served in the Korean Conflict. He was discharged on November 19, 1956 at Camp Pendleton, CA. Following the service he lived in California and worked for ConVair Aircraft Assembly from 1956 to 1957.

Albert married Gladys Oster on December 4, 1958 at Hopkins, Michigan. They made their home in Jamestown, N.D., where he worked as a general contractor and draftsman for Feton Lumber Company from 1959 to 1969. In 1969 they moved to the family farm northeast of Jamestown where he began farming until the time of his death.

Albert is survived by his wife, Gladys Schulz, Jamestown, N.D.; two daughters, Janice (Peter Schreier) Schulz of Wisconsin; Julia Schulz, of Jamestown, N.D.; two sons, Edwin (Debra) Schulz, of Grand Forks, N.D.; Ronald Schulz, of Alaska; one granddaughter, Nora Schulz; two brothers, Otto (Mert) Schulz; Walter Schulz; three sisters, Doris (Denis) Sheldon; Dolores McKenzie; and Elnora (Terry) Allan. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother (Harold).

Memorial Service: 2:00 P.M. - Tuesday, November 26, 2002 at St. John's Lutheran Church - Jamestown, N.D., with Rev. Doug Opp officiating.
