Albert Wallenvein, 80, Jamestown, N.D. died Monday, January 27, 2003 at Hi-Acres Manor in Jamestown, N.D.
Albert was born December 15, 1922 in Lake Williams, N.D. the son of Daniel and Christine (Miller) Wallenvein. He grew up and received his education in rural Lake Williams, N.D. He entered the Civil Conservation Corp for a short time. He married Caroline Wolfe on July 9, 1942 in Steele, N.D. They made their home in Lake Williams, N.D. where he farmed until 1967. They moved to Ellendale, N.D., where he worked for Farmers Union Fertilizer. He retired in 1985 and they moved to Jamestown, N.D., where their home has been since.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and card playing. He was an avid Cubs Baseball fan.
Albert is survived by his wife of 60 years, Caroline Wallenvein, of Jamestown, N.D.; one daughter, Delilah (Donald) Guthmiller, of Jamestown, N.D.; five grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one brother, Henry ""Shorty"" Wallenvein, of Pettibone, N.D. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Arthur.
Funeral Service: 10:00 A.M. - Saturday, February 1, 2003 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown, N.D., with Rev. Doug Opp officiating.
Prayer Service: 7:00 P.M. - Friday, January 31, 2003 at Eddy Funeral Chapel - Jamestown, N.D.
Visitation: Friday, January 31, 2003 1:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown, N.D.
Burial: Highland Home Cemetery - Jamestown, N.D.
