Alfred Domek

Alfred Domek, 87, Jamestown, ND, died April 30, 2009 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Center, Jamestown, ND.

Alfred Herman Domek was born on the family farm in Corwin Township near Ypsilanti, ND on September 3, 1921, the son of Lawrence and Doris (Haskell) Domek. He attended country school and was raised on the family farm. Alfred served in the U. S. Navy from February 11, 1945 until his discharge on June 19, 1946 when he returned to the farm. He married Norma Erstad-Feltis on July 23, 1963. They made the farm their home for many years and later moved into Jamestown. Norma died on February 11, 1993. Alfred became a resident of Hi-Acres Manor in February, 2005.

Survivors include 2 sons, Jerome, Grand Forks, ND and David, Minneapolis, MN; a daughter, Monica Feltis Heinrich, Paso Robles, CA; 2 grandchildren, Amber Heinrich Fielder and Michael Heinrich and 2 great grandchildren, Kendall and Declan Fielder; and 1 sister, Madeline Deanne, California. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and a brother Darrell.

Alfred was a lifetime member of the Jamestown VFW, Eagles and Elks. He was a good and kind man, his spirit will live on, in all that truly knew and loved him.

Memorial Service: 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2009 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND.

Interment: Ypsilanti Cemetery, Ypsilanti, ND.
