Alice Kessler, 61, of Jamestown, ND, died Saturday, December 2, 2011 at Ave Maria Village, Jamestown.

Alice Rosemary Lureen was born April 10, 1950 at Harvey, ND, the daughter of Walter and Pauline (Buchwitz) Lureen, Sr. At age 4, she moved with her family to Goodrich, ND where she attended school, graduating from Goodrich High School in 1968. On February 14, 1969, she married Daryl Kessler at McClusky, ND and they lived in Bismarck, ND. She moved to Jamestown in 1984 where she worked for a medical nursing service.

Alice is survived by three children, Trina Kessler, Jamestown, Clinton Kessler, Fargo, ND, and Chad Kessler, Camp Wachuka, AZ; two granddaughters, Chelsey Kessler, Jamestown and Kourtnee Aipperspach; five brothers, Wallace Lureen, Minneapolis, MN, Walter (Connie) Lureen, Cathay, ND, Richard Lureen, Jamestown, ND, Jerome Lureen, Fargo, and Bruce Lureen, Jamestown, ND; five sisters, Donna Otto, Jamestown, ND, Marilyn Lureen, Philadelphia, PA, Betty Potaloes, Colorado Springs, CO, Sandra (Keith) Geinger, Jamestown, and Sheila Lureen, Towner, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents; twin sons, Clayton and Clifford; and a half sister, Ruth Lureen.

Memorial Service: 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 10, 2011 at First Baptist Church, Jamestown, ND.

Burial: Sykeston Cemetery, Sykeston, ND.
