Alice Perleberg

Alice E. Perleberg, 96, of Jamestown, ND, passed away Tuesday morning, April 30, 2019 under Hospice care at Ave Maria Village, Jamestown.

Alice was born January 6, 1923, near Streeter, ND, the daughter of Emanuel and Anna (Everding) Enzminger. She was baptized in Streeter and the family moved to Jamestown when Alice was in the 9th grade. Alice married Arthur W. Perleberg on June 18, 1943 in Jamestown. They farmed together for 55 years and Alice loved seeing new life every year with cattle, pigs, and chickens being born. She was a kind, loving, and dedicated wife and mother to her four children and also enjoyed working as a Nurse’s Aide at Jamestown Hospital until 1980. Alice also had a passion for embroidering, gardening and baking. Arthur died February 17, 2001 and Alice continued to live near the farm for a few years before moving to Jamestown.

She was a long-time member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Jamestown and the Eldridge Birthday club.

Alice is survived by son, Arthur Jr. (Gerry) Perleberg; daughter, Linda Greer; daughter-in-law, Char Perleberg; grandchildren, Stuart (Kathy) Greer, Shawn (Jodie) Greer, Lori (Dan) Reis, Brent Perleberg, Angela Stanek, Eric Perleberg, Darren (Courtney) Perleberg, and Tyler Perleberg; and great-grandchildren, Travis Greer, Alexis & Haley Greer, Macyn Douget, Kolton, Rylee & Brody Reis, Adam & Erika Stanek; brother-in-law, Walter Perleberg; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Ronald Perleberg and Jerome Perleberg; son-in-law, Virgil Greer; great-grandson, Austin Greer; brother, Emil Enzminger; sisters, Florence Bitz, Delila Attleson, Eleanor Runyan, Mary Lou Larson, and Marlene Satterlund.

Prayer Service: 7:00 p.m., Monday, May 6, 2019 at Good Shepherd Chapel, Ave Maria Village, Jamestown.

Funeral Service : 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Jamestown, with Rev. Erik Weber officiating.

Visitation: One hour before each service.

Interment: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown.
