Alice E. Ulrickson, 90, Jamestown, North Dakota died Saturday, October 2, 2010 at Eventide at Hi-Acres, Jamestown.
Alice Esther Hochhalter was born February 16, 1920, in Goldwin, North Dakota, daughter of Fred and Emma (Moser) Hochhalter. As an infant she moved with her family to Cleveland, ND. In 1926 they moved to Woodworth where she received her education. She married Willmar J. Ulrickson, on August 2l, 1939, in Jamestown, ND. They lived at Oberon, ND until 1942 when they moved to Flasher, ND. In 1943 they moved to Dawson and lived there until 1946. They moved to Buffalo, ND where they lived until 1953 when they moved to Tower City, ND. In 1956 they moved to Jamestown where their home has been since. While living in Jamestown she was employed at Trinity Hospital form 1958 until 1961. Later she worked at Jamestown Hospital for 20 years when she retired in 1982.
She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Jamestown Area Singles Club, Jamestown Eagles Auxillary, and a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiallary, Veteran of Foreign Wars Auxiallary, National Buffalo Museum and Germans from Russia. She enjoyed her hobbies of crocheting, knitting and was known for going to hobby shows. Gardening and especially raising flowers were the enjoyments of her life. Alice leaves numerous close friends. Her generosity of unselfish sharing with others and kindness will be remembered by all.
Alice is survived by three daughters; Sandra Y. Job, Linton, ND, Rochelle G. (Ed) Breckel, Bismarck, ND, Wendelin J. (Steve) Mayer, Everett, WA; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Inez Lund, Carrington, ND and Lilly Peda, Kent WA and one sister-in-law, Ardis Hochhalter, Medina, ND.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one son, Gary, three brothers, LeRoy, Laurence andHarry, and a sister, Gertrude.
