Alice Wang

Alice Wang, 87, of Jamestown died Saturday, June 9, 2007 at the Jamestown Hospital. Alice Brickner was born March 19, 1920 in Garrison, North Dakota, the daughter of Fred and Olga (Engelhardt) Brickner. She attended school in rural Douglas, ND and was confirmed and baptized in the Douglas Lutheran Church. She graduated from Douglas High School in 1938. She married Walter Wang on August 31, 1940. They moved to Courtenay, North Dakota where she worked as a clerk and Postmaster for the Courtenay Post Office for 26 years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Courtenay where she taught Sunday school, and later St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Wimbledon. She was also a member of the American Legion and VFWAuxillary in Jamestown, ND.

Alice is survived by her husband, Walter, Jamestown, ND; one daughter, Sandra (Keith) Kiser; two sons, Gary (Linda), Dennis (Vicky), all of Fargo, ND; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Elvera Westby, Douglas, ND.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister; and a stillborn son.

Funeral Service: 2:00 pm, Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Wimbledon, ND with Rev. Robert Hill officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at the Eddy Funeral Home.

Prayer Service: 7:00 pm, Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at the Eddy Funeral Home

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, ND.
