Alice Iona Wilson

Alice Iona Wilson, 84, Jamestown, North Dakota died Tuesday, May 3rd, 2016 surrounded by her family at Sanford Palliative Care, Fargo ND.
Alice was born on May 9th, 1931 in Westby, Montana. She was the second child of Myrtle "Ma" Nelson and Clarence William "Pa" Nelson. Alice grew up on the farmstead near Coalridge with her older sister Elavon and younger brothers, Billy and Arnie. Alice married Richard "Dick" Wilson on Sunday, April 17, 1955, in Westby, Montana. Alice graduated with a class of 16 students from Westby High School, May 25, 1949. She attended Dana College in Nebraska, and earned her teaching certificate from Eastern College of Education at Billings, Montana. She taught school at Valier in Sheridan County, MT.
Alice logged many hours of volunteerism in various departments at Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown Medical Center and churches. She loved talking with people and enjoyed helping others. Her passions included shopping, garage sales, and baking cookies and home made buns for what seemed the entire community. Alice always made sure anyone she met knew what her children and grandkids were up to.
Alice is survived by one daughter, Tammie (Keith) Repko, St. Louis, Mo; four sons, Thomas Wilson, Jamestown, ND; Mike Wilson, Jamestown, ND; Larry ( Diane) Wilson, Omaha, NE; and Kent (Amanda) Wilson, Mandan, ND, six grandchildren, Kristin (Casey) Moen, Anna Repko, Megan Wilson, Katie Repko, Dakota Wilson, Carson Wilson.Two great grandchildren and one brother, Arnie Nelson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her son (Mark), sister (Elavon), brother (Billy), and daughter in law, Barbara Wilson.

Funeral service: 10:30 AM, Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Hope Free Lutheran Church, Jamestown, ND with Pastor Steve Berntson, officiating.
Visitation: 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday, May 6 at Eddy Funeral Chapel.
Burial: Highland Home Cemetery.
