Alicia Fern Kallander-Mittleider, our dearly beloved Alicia, passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2012, at the age of 29, in her home.
Alicia was born May 29, 1982 in Fargo, ND, to Robert and Denice (Campbell) Kallander. She is the oldest of six children. She grew up in Fargo and graduated from Fargo South High in May 2000. Alicia went to NDSU for a couple of years, when she met the love of her life, Troy Mittleider, in the fall of 2002. They were married June 14, 2003. They lived in Fargo, where Alicia worked at Villa Maria Nursing Home. They moved to Kensal and then Jamestown where they resided at the time of her death. Alicia worked at the Anne Carlsen Center for Children for many years.
In the preceding years, Alicia gave birth to three daughters, Brydgette, age 7, Kayley, soon to be 6, and baby Paytynn, 19 months.
Alicia lived for her many families, her husband and three daughters, whom she devoted her life to and lived a very full life with. For her siblings, especially her younger brothers, whom she was a second mother to and to her family of kids at the Anne Carlsen Center, whom she treasured.
Alicia enjoyed playing with her daughters, spending time with her brothers and niece, reading, photography, hunting and fishing with her husband and kids and shopping with her sister and mother.
Alicia is survived by her husband, Troy; three daughters, Brydgette, Kayley and Paytynn, all of Jamestown; parents, Bob & Denice Kallander, Fargo; five siblings, Chelsea, Caleb, Zachery, Logan and Spenser Kallander, all of Fargo; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ronald and Candus Mittleider, Tappen, ND; one niece, Hannah Kallander; and paternal grandparents, Edwin and Maxine Kallander, Moorhead, MN.
