Allen D. Graves

Allen D. Graves, 65, Jamestown, North Dakota died Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota.

Mr. Graves was born September 10, 1941 in Woodworth, North Dakota the son of Clarence and Selma (Thompson) Graves. He lived and attended school in Woodworth until he was 10 years old when the family moved to Jamestown. On December 2, 1961 Allen married Kathleen Jo McGillivray in Jamestown. As a young man he worked for a creamery station, and then for Goldbergs Furniture for several years before he went to work for 25 years at Tempo. At the time of his death he was working for Gun & Reel Sports.

Allen was a member of Golden Gloves Boxing, Jamestown Men's Bowling Assn. and Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown.

He enjoyed boxing, bowling, softball, archery, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

Allen is survived by his wife, Kathleen, Jamestown; four children: Toni (Doug) Krawczyk, Shawn (Jackie) Graves, Lisa (Donny) Didier and Sondra Clark (Casey Dodgson), all of Jamestown; 12 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; one brother, Oliver (Donna Mae) Graves, Jamestown and one sister, Sharon Knepper, California.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; three brothers and one niece.

Funeral Service: 1:30 PM, Saturday, November 25, 2006 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown with Rev. Rich Fitzer officiating.

Visitation: 1:00 to 7:00 PM, Friday, November 24, 2006 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown, North Dakota.
