February 16, 1939 — December 16, 2014

Alvin Peterson, 75, Ypsilanti, North Dakota died Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at his home. Alvin Norman Peterson was born during a blizzard on a farm by Montpelier, ND to Franklin and Elsie (Schroeder) Peterson on February 16, 1939. At that time he also started a catering business pulling his own hand-built hog roaster to family reunions and events. Al loved to tinker and you would most often find him in his shop fixing on auction sale finds. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting trips to Colorado, Western North Dakota, and Canada. He played on many area bowling leagues and pool teams. He was affectionately known as Pete, Big Al, and Moose. Al is survived by two daughters, Lynn (Wade) Lambrecht, Jamestown and Lori (Tim Kern) Peterson, Marietta, GA, three granddaughters, Lara and Erika Hermanson, and Keira Lambrecht, all of Jamestown, one brother, Carl (Sally) Peterson, Adrian, two sisters, Deloris Cichos, Pierre SD, and Darlene Peterson, Jamestown, and 5 nieces and nephews.
