Alvina Lorraine (Burkle) Dockor, 81 died October 1, 2005 at her farm home under hospice care. Alvina Burkle was born April 17, 1924 the daughter of Rudolph and Lydia (Batsch) Burkle in Fredonia, North Dakota. She attended the School of the Deaf in Devils Lake, North Dakota. After finishing school, she worked for Ebertz Café in Jamestown, ND
Alvina married Francis Docktor at the Basilica of St. James in Jamestown, on August 25, 1953. They lived in Homer Township on the Docktor family farm. Alvina enjoyed life, she loved going to auctions, visiting with friends. She enjoyed her flowers and her pets. Alvina's true love in life was taking care of her four sons.
She is survived by her husband, Francis, Jamestown, sons, Idele Burkle, Jamestown, ND, Jim (Joyce) Docktor, Alamo, NV, Leonard (JoAnne) Docktor, Tonopah, NV, Tom Docktor, Jamestown, ND. Eight Grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, seven great grandchildren. One sister, Jonah (Duane) Rhode, Watertown, SD.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, (Milbert, Roland, Clifford), one sister, Eleanor Burkle.
Funeral Service; 10:30 AM, Thursday, October 6, 2005 at the Basilica of St. James with Father Al Bitz officiating.
Visitation; 1:00 to 8:00 pm. Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at Eddy Funeral Home.
