Alvina Schulz

Alvina (Martin) Schulz, Jamestown, ND passed away, June 3, 2019 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

Alvina was born on November 9, 1930 at Lake Williams, ND the daughter of Frederick and Caroline (Veil) Martin. She attended Grade School at Frettim Township. Alvina married Aesoph Schulz on November 22, 1953 on her family farm north of Lake Williams.

Alvina worked hard on their family farm providing for her children, growing a garden, raising cattle, milking, haying, and canning. She loved horses, quilting, gardening, playing accordion, singing, especially with her son, Floyd and her four sisters and loved the color red. She was a German Russian that loved eating her Chinese food.

She was a beloved Mother, Mother-in-law, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and friend who had an unconditional love for all.

Alvina is survived by six children; Myron (Renee) Schulz, Lake Williams, Florine Okerlund, Jamestown, Floyd (Jolene) Schulz, Carrington, Elenora Skinner, Fargo, Glenn (Stacy) Schulz, Jamestown, Karen (Tim) Hornung, Cooperstown, 35 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, two sisters; Anna Woodward and Louisa (Pete) Roerick, both of Jamestown, two sisters-in-law; Gladys Martin, Mandan, and Delores Silbernagel, Moorhead, MN and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters; Loretta Hoff and Rebecca Bertsch, brothers; Edward Martin and Leonard Martin, an infant brother and sister, and son-in-law, Leon Okerlund.

Visitation : 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Eddy Funeral Home.

Prayer Service: 7:00 PM, Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Eddy Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Thursday, June 6, 2019 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Jamestown.

Burial: Bethany Cemetery, Robinson, ND.

Arrangements are in the care of Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.
