Ann Johnson

Ann M. Johnson, 69, Jamestown, North Dakota died Thursday, April 6, 2006 at her home in Jamestown.

Ann Marie Ashbaugh was born July 15, 1936 in Jamestown, the daughter of George and Edith (Peterson) Ashbaugh. She grew up in Jamestown. Ann married Jerald J. Johnson on March 10, 1952 in Moorhead, Minnesota. They farmed near Adrian, ND, then later moved to Jamestown in 1956. Ann was a homemaker, daycare provider, and worked in retail.

She enjoyed playing guitar, singing and listening to country music. She also enjoyed sewing and working with the community theatre. She enjoyed having coffee with her friends at the Gardenette.

She is survived by two sons, Jerome (Sherrie) Johnson of Mandan, ND and Jerald, Jr. (Marie Antoinette) Johnson of Fargo, ND; two daughters, Juli (Curt) Diede of Jamestown and Jodi (Harry) Gilbertson of Fargo, ND; one brother, Chuck Ashbaugh of Tacoma, WA and one sister, Opal (Carroll) Schmuhl, Jamestown; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and one sister, Jenny Maine.

Funeral Service: 1:00 PM, Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown with Rev. Dennis Ellingsen officiating.

Visitation: 12:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday, April 10, 2006 at the Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Prayer Service: 7:00 PM, Monday, April 10, 2006 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.
