Anna Maria Berreth

Anna Maria “Mary” Berreth, 97, of Park River, ND passed away Monday, May 29, 2017 at Ave Maria Village, Jamestown, ND.

Anna Maria was born January 12, 1920 to Anton and Clementina (Zentner) Staudinger at Solen, ND. She married Edward Berreth on December 2, 1939 in Linton, ND. In 1966 they moved to Park River. Anna enjoyed helping Ed at the Standard Oil Service Station which they operated for 20 years. Anna’s hobbies included ceramics, traveling and being a homemaker. She was a fabulous cook.

Anna is survived by her daughters, LaDona (Myron) Tarno of Jamestown, ND, Judy (Mark) McFarlane of New York Mills, MN and Sherry (Donald) Greicar of Pisek, ND; 5 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brother, Emanuel Staudinger of Roseville, CA; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; son, Alvin; her parents; granddaughter, Holly Tarno; grandsons, William Horan and Andrew Greicar; 3 brothers; 3 sisters; step-brothers; and step-sisters.

A private family graveside service will take place at the Park River Cemetery, Park River, ND.
