Anthony J. "Tony" Gaedtke, 81, of Jamestown, ND, died Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown.
Anthony J. Gaedtke was born July 27, 1929, in Jamestown, the son of Anton and Elizabeth (Williamsen) Gaedtke. He grew up in Jamestown and graduated form St. John's Academy in 1948. Tony drove bus for a short time before he entered the US Army and served for 3 years. He returned to Jamestown where he worked as a bulk deliverer for Standard Oil. Tony retired from semi driving and enjoyed his Chihuahuas, Pepe and Snoopy.
Tony was a member of St. James Basilica, the Knights of Columbus, V.F.W., Eagles, and Elks of Jamestown.
Tony is survived by sister, Mary Lutter, Minnesota; sister, Anne (Adolph) Greshik, Jamestown; brother, Hank Kilsdonk, Montana; sister, Marge Quigley, Jamestown; sister, Jean (John) Szarkowski, Jamestown; sister, Josie (Mike) Miska, Oregon. Uncle Bud was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Agnes Skroch and Helen Bennett; and two brothers, Joe Kilsdonk and Norb Kilsdonk.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00am, Monday, April 25, 2011 at St. James Basilica, Jamestown.
Visitation: None scheduled. Arrangements by Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.
Burial: Calvary Cemetery, Jamestown, later in the spring.
