Ardel Wolff, 79, Jamestown, North Dakota, died Monday, November 3, 2008 at his home under hospice care.
Ardel was born February 23, 1929 in Jamestown, ND, the son of Arthur and Emma (Krueger) Wolff. He grew up in Eldridge, ND and attended Eldridge schools. On January 26, 1951 Ardel entered the US Army and served in Japan. He was discharged on January 13, 1953 and returned to Jamestown. On January 30, 1959 Ardel married Rudella Mohn in Aberdeen, SD. The made their home in Jamestown where Ardel was a police detective for the City of Jamestown for 37 years. He retired in 1994.
Ardel was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Ardel is survived by a son, Tim Wolff, Jamestown; two daughters, Robyn (Samuel ) Kaping, Randall, MN and Roberta (Mike) Ebhert, Woodland Park, CO; six grandchildren; two sisters, June Leimer, Jamestown and Diane Bergman, Brodhead, WI.
He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
Memorial Service: 11:00 AM, Friday, November 7, 2008 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown, with Pastor Harlan Kaden officiating.
