Ardella James

Ardella James, 60, Jamestown, North Dakota, died Monday, September 20, 2010 at her home.

Ardella Sam was born July 17, 1950 in Medina, North Dakota, the daughter of Harry and Velda (Weckwerth) Sam. She was raised and attended school in Medina, where she attended the Medina English Lutheran Church. She was employed at Wagon Masters Restaurant and the Jamestown Truck Plaza, both of Jamestown.

Ardella married Joseph James on June 16, 1979. He passed away on January 30, 2007.

She enjoyed music, watching movies, dancing and drawing freehand.

Ardella was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown; the America Legion; and the VFW Auxiliary.

Ardella is survived by her four daughters, Julie Keeler, Jamestown, Nancy Keeler, Wimbledon, ND, Marie James, Jamestown, and Angela James, Rapid City, SD; four grandchildren; mother, Velda Sam; brother, Delbert Sam; and sister, Delores Sam, all of Jamestown.

She was preceded in death by her husband; father; and brother, Howard.
