Arlene D. Norberg

May 13, 1932 — September 24, 2015

Arlene Delores Fedorenko Norberg entered into eternal life on Thursday evening, September 24, 2015 at Ave Maria Village, Jamestown. Arlene was the youngest child of four born to John and Pauline Jenson on May 13, 1932. She was raised and educated in Butte, ND. Most importantly, her Christian education began and continued at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Arlene married Albert Fedorenko on June 4, 1950, her beloved husband of 46 years. Shoulder to shoulder and hand in hand they farmed their land.

Albert passed away in 1996. In 2001, Arlene married Gerald Norberg. They spent time gardening, traveling and enjoyed visiting with their blended families and friends.

When Arlene wasn’t busy helping with farm life, she enjoyed teaching Sunday School and Bible School. She was a member of the Ladies Circle at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, the American Legion Auxiliary and a homemaker group of friends.

Her true passion was music. God blessed her with the incredible gift of playing piano without ever taking a lesson. She loved playing the piano and singing well into her later years. Hymns were some of her favorites, and her faith sustained her always.

She was a superb cook and an excellent baker. She had the gift of hospitality, and family and friends enjoyed her laughter, her company and her zest for life. It seemed she had a welcoming smile for all.

Grateful and full of love for her is her husband, Jerry, and her children, Pamela (Michael) Hoffman, Paulette (Dorvin) Froseth, Jay and Melissa Fedorenko. Her legacy includes grandchildren, Christopher and Virginia Hoffman, Jordan (Kela), Jessica, and Spencer (Madison) Lemer, Ashley and Taylor Fedorenko. She was also blessed with two beautiful great grandchildren, Macie and Kennedi Golberg (Virginia’s daughters). Other special people to Arlene are Jerry's children and grandchildren.

May God be forever praised for allowing us to share Arlene’s life.

Arlene is preceded in death by her husband, Albert, her parents, sister (Betty Fleck), brothers, Robert (Iota) and Victor Jenson, daughter-in-law, Carmen Fedorenko, and one stillborn grandson, Tyler Lemer.

Memorial Service : 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Valley City, ND.
