Arlene Ost

Arlene Ost, 66, Jamestown, ND, died Saturday, June 17, at her home in Jamestown.
Arlene Florence Cox was born July 18, 1939 at Park Rapids, MN, the daughter of Earl and Clara (Hanson) Cox. She was raised and attended school in Park Rapids, graduating from Park Rapids High School in 1957. In 1960, she moved to Jamestown, ND where she worked for Super Value Warehouse Foods. On January 23, 1976, she married Willis Ost at Jamestown, ND where they made their home. Arlene also worked at the City Laundry and later for the North Dakota State Hospital for 20 years. After retiring in 2004, she worked part time for One Hour Martinizing.
Arlene was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the Jamestown Women's Pool League.
Survivors include 2 sons: Kelly (Caroline) Ruddy, Fargo, ND; Tim Ost, Jamestown, ND; 6 grandchildren; 1 sister, Judy (Richard) Trangsrud, Jamestown, ND; 3 brothers: Ralph Cox, Menahga, MN; John Cox, Mahtomedi, MN and Robert (Ardella) Cox, Fayetteville, NC.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral - 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Jamestown, ND with Reverend Doug Opp officiating.
Prayer Service - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND.
Visitation - 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at Lisko Funeral Chapel, Jamestown, ND and 1 hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
Interment - Sunset Memorial Garden, Jamestown, ND
