Arlie Cloke, 94, Fargo, ND, formerly of Edgeley, ND, died Monday, July 13, 2009 at Meritcare Hospital, Fargo, ND.
Arlie Everett Cloke was born May 26, 1915 in LaMoure County, ND, the son of Arlie M. and Goldie (Strating) Cloke. He was raised on the family farm in Wano Township and attended a country school not far from the farm. After his schooling he worked on the family farm. On July 3, 1945, he married Shirley Schupp in Jamestown, ND and they settled on a farm in Wano Township. They farmed until 1990 when they retired and moved to Fargo, ND. Shirley died on May 2, 2005.
Arlie was an active member as one of Jehovah's Witnesses sharing his faith with others.
Survivors include a daughter, Cynthia (Clifford Allen) Nielsen, Fargo, ND; 2 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and a sister, Edna Bartle, Fargo, ND.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and 2 sisters, Edith Syverson and Mildred Fischer.
Graveside Service - 11:00 a.m.Thursday, July 16, 2009, at Mount Hope Cemetery, Edgeley, ND with Karl Bergh officiating.
Memorial Service - 1:30 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2009 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2207 18th Street S, Fargo, ND with Karl Bergh officiating.
