Arlyce (Monson) Chadwick

Arlyce Nadine Chadwick, Age 91, Jamestown, ND, passed away March 2, 2025, at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

Arlyce Nadine (Monson) Chadwick was born February 8, 1934, to parents Albert and Lillian (Lee) Monson. Arlyce was born in Marion, ND, on a farmstead in Barnes County, ND.

Arlyce received her elementary education at Plano School in Barnes County. She moved from home to receive her high school education in Marion, ND, graduating in 1952. After graduating, she moved on to many small jobs while attending Valley City State Teacher’s College, where she received her teaching degree in Elementary Education. Working 16 years as an educator, she moved around the countryside with her husband, Leonard Chadwick.

She and the love of her life, Leonard, were officially married on November 29, 1957, in Dilworth, MN.

After her teaching career, she became a bookkeeper and clerical secretary in Jamestown, ND. She also bookkept for her and her husband’s business, Chadwick Trucking, until they both retired in 1998.

Most of all, Arlyce’s biggest pride and joy was watching her family spend time together and in fellowship.

Arlyce is survived by her two sons Keith (June) Chadwick, Mark Chadwick grandchildren Amanda (Terry) Hollinhead their children Alexa, Taya, Easton; Kristi (Mason) Krumwiede their children, Kaydence, Kayleigh, Karson, Kamron, Kaden, Kayleah, Liam; Brandon Chadwick and his children Paislee, Brylee; Sara Sayler with daughter Madilyn.; Jamie (Landon) Mickelson daughter Noa; Lindi Chadwick; Levi Chadwick.

Step-grandchildren Amy (Josh) Lee with their children, Brianna, Tate and Calise. Sara (Matthew) Walters with their children Sheena, Addison, Brantley; Cheri Bennett.

Sisters Lois Hofman; Jude Monson/Cummings; Brothers Edward (Jean) Monson, Dale (Virginia) Monson; Rodney (Barbara) Monson; Lorne Monson and many nieces and nephews.

Arlyce is preceded in death by her husband Leonard, her parents Albert and Lillian; two sisters Marilyn Burkhardt; Nelda Frank; four brothers Allen, Lowell, Noelyn, Wayne; her daughter-in-law Vickie Chadwick, grandson Cody Chadwick, and great-grandson Ethan Chadwick and several nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

Memorial Service for Leonard and Arlyce: 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 28, 2025 at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown.
