Artena Schlaht

Artena Schlaht, 94, Jamestown, ND passed away Friday, April 23, 2021 at Eventide Jamestown.

Artena Lang was born November 14, 1928 in the Gackle, ND area to Gustoff and Maria Lang.  They moved to Jamestown where she went to school.  Artena married Harold "Chubby" Schlaht.

Artena was a big family person.  She enjoyed cooking, canning and gardening at home.  Artena loved camping with all the families.  She was a member of the Congregational-United Church of Christ, Jamestown, Eagles, VFW and Elks.

She is survived by nephew Rick (Shawn) Kreil; niece Marry Bradshaw and Gary Hair, California.

Artena was preceded in death by her parents Gustoff and Maria Lang also, Mollie & Clarence Kurtz, Ed & Ruth Lang, Elsie & Ruben Kreil, three children Schelly Schlaht, Paulette Pillus and Marvin Lang.

Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Eddy Funeral Home followed by a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.  Interment will be 2:00 PM, Friday at Highland Home Cemetery.
