Arthur "Art" Mielke

Arthur Harry Mielke, husband, father, and beloved grandfather passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 91 on February 13th in Jamestown, ND, after a short, courageous battle with cancer.

Art, originally from Ferney, SD, who served his country in the Air Force during the Korean War, was an avid baseball player, coach, and fan, professional bowler, active sportsman, and devoted family man. He served the ND community as President of the North Dakota Wildlife Federation and the Jamestown Community as an active member of Concordia Lutheran Church.

He was loved deeply by the late, great Paula and Peter Mielke. He is survived by his four children and their families; David (Amy), Dawn (Alisen), Dana, Donald (Melissa). He leaves in our care his nine grandchildren; Mikayla, Max, Rain, Gage, Amaya, Winter, Grace, Aaliyah, Marley, Morgan and his great-grandson Greyson.

Please join us at 4:00 pm, Friday, February 17th for a gathering and prayer service at Concordia Lutheran Church at 502 1st Ave. Jamestown, ND.  A reception will follow after all is complete at church at the Sabir's Buffalo Grill in the banquet room.
