Audrey M. Kirkeby, 69, Jamestown, North Dakota died Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at Jamestown Hospital.

Audrey McKay was born November 26, 1938 in Ft. Totten, ND, the daughter of Michael and Mary (Lohnes) McKay. She attended school in St. Michael, ND, near Ft. Totten. Audrey married Wayne Kirkeby on November 27, 1956 in Devils Lake, ND. They lived in Devils Lake until 1968 before moving to Jamestown. Audrey worked at the Anne Carlsen Center for Children for a few years. She moved to Fargo and lived there for a short time before returning to Jamestown in 2002, where she resided until her passing.

Audrey loved playing cards, board games and bingo, watching Mass on T.V., and spending time with family and friends. Throughout the years, she especially took great joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the St. James Basilica.

Audrey is survived by four daughters, Rose Norheim, Jamestown, Arline Kirkeby, Omaha, NE, LaVona (Ricky) Benson, Jamestown and Tina Scherbenske, Fargo, ND; one son, Doug (Lori) Kirkeby, Carrington, ND; 18 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne; parents; one brother, Tim McKay; one sister, Evangeline; one son, Wayne; one daughter, Bonnie; and one grandson, Kenneth.

Funeral Mass: 10:30 AM, Friday, August 22, 2008 at the St. James Basilica with Father John McGinnis presiding.

Visitation: 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, August 21, 2008 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown.

Vigil: 7:00 PM, Thursday, August 21, 2008 at the Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, North Dakota.
