Beatta Peda, 94, Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, formerly of Woodworth, ND, died Friday, November 11, 2011 at Good Samaritan Society, Inver Grove Heights, MN.
Beatta (Betty) Peda, was born on June 20, 1917 in Woodworth, North Dakota to the proud parents of Gustav and Wilhelmina Peda. After growing up in the Woodworth area, Betty attended college at Bismarck and then moved to St. Paul. While in St. Paul, Betty worked as a cook, for a defense contractor during World War II, and then as a bookkeeper for 14 years for Wards and 20 years for Cenex from whom she retired in 1979.
Betty's favorite activities were traveling to California where she could visit her sister Wanda and enjoy the sun, traveling to North Dakota to visit her brothers Alfred and Billy. Betty always had the most fantastic memory and never forgot the birthdates or anniversaries of the people she loved. She also loved to share the stories of her parent's lives while in Germany as well as the states, never allowing people to forget the family history. She also enjoyed cooking, cleaning and dusting to get ready for any family and company that may be coming to visit.
Betty was the 7th child of Gustav and Wilhelmina and is preceded in death by Anna, Joseh, Martold, Maleta, Ferdinand, Erhard, Rosa and Wilhelm.
She is survived by her sister, Wanda and brother Alfred, and 8 nieces and nephews.
