Bernice Frances Ehman passed away on May 22, 2010 at Mercy Hospital, Valley City, ND.
Bernice Shull was born May 10, 1919 at Spencer, Iowa, to Margaret and Irving Shull. She grew up in Southern Minnesota receiving her Elementary and High school education at Ellendale, MN and Mankato, MN.
Bernice was employed by Armour Creamery in Mankato, MN and worked as a Laboratory Technician with a Chemist. Later, she was transferred with the company to St. Paul, MN.
On July 29, 1939, she married George Ehman in Northwood, IA. They lived for a short time in St. Paul, MN before moving to North Dakota. They farmed in the Jud community until 1982 when they retired and moved to Jamestown, ND. George preceded her in death on February 15, 1994.
Bernice enjoyed travel, playing cards, dancing, reading, sewing, crocheting, flower and vegetable gardening, canning, and baking. Her kuchen and potato salad were exceptional.
Bernice was devoted to her family, leaving them with many fond memories. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Bernice is survived by two daughters, Jan Ingstad, Valley City, and Cheryl Forsythe, Plymouth, MN; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and a special friend Clarence Horsted, Valley City.
Preceding her in death was her husband; mother and father; two brothers; and two sons-in-law.
