Bertha Job, 100, Jamestown, North Dakota, died Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home in Jamestown.
Bertha Zimmerman was born August 22, 1908 near Streeter, ND, the daughter of Jacob and Katherina (Pfeifle) Zimmerman. She attended rural school in Logan county. On December 5, 1929, Bertha married Edward Job in Streeter. Over the years, Bertha worked as a housekeeper for the Pulscher Hotel, Hi-Acres Manor and Jamestown Hospital.
Bertha was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Jamestown . She enjoyed volunteering at the church and reading.
Bertha is survived by four grandchildren, Janette (Stanley) Cox, Lynette Stoddart, Jeanette (Jerome) Wegner, all of Jamestown, ND and Kenneth (Tamelyn) Job, Jamestown, CA; a daughter-in-law, Ruby Job, Jamestown, ND; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and six brothers and sisters, Lillian Becker and Lucy Roehrich, both of Fargo, ND, Lenora Zimmerman, Jamestown, Leon (Gladys) Zimmerman, Napoleon, ND, Elmer (Shirley) Zimmerman, Bismarck, ND and Marvin (Gayle) Zimmerman, Moorhead, MN.
She was preceded in death by her three sons, Edwin, Eugene and Ernest; one grandson; and eight brothers and sisters.
Funeral Service: 10:30 AM, Monday, September 29, 2008 at the First Assembly of God Church, Jamestown, with Pastor Darrell Losing officiating.
Visitation: 1:00 to 8:00 PM, Sunday, Septembrer 28, 2008 at the Eddy Funeral Home in Jamestown.
Burial: Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown.
