Bette Mccrea

November 25, 1924 — January 10, 2004

Bette McCrea, 79, of Jamestown, North Dakota died Saturday, January 10, 2004 at Hi-Acres Manor Nursing Home, Jamestown.

Bette White was born November 25, 1924 in Pingree, ND the daughter of Lennie and Cecil (Broderson) White. She attended school in Pingree. In the early 1940's she moved to Tooele, Utah where she worked as an automotive equipment operator at the Tooele Ordinance Army Depot until 1957 when she returned to North Dakota to help on her parents farm at Kensal. She later went to work at the Buffalo Bowling Lanes in Jamestown. She was an avid bowler for many years and in 1996 she was inducted into the North Dakota Women's Bowling Hall of Fame and JWBA.

She enjoyed doing wood and seed crafts and displayed her crafts at many craft shows. She also enjoyed spending time with her many nieces and nephews.

Bette is survived by a brother, Jack White, two sisters, DeLoris (Gene) Gossett and Lois Pfaff, all of Jamestown and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Harold and Donald and two sisters, Ellen and Sharlene.

Memorial Service: 10:30 AM, Saturday, January 24, 2004 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bryce Tahran officiating.

No visitation is scheduled.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Jamestown Hospital Hospice.
