Betty Lou Bohnenberger

Betty L. Bohnenberger, 93, of Jamestown, ND, passed away early Monday morning, June 10, 2024 at SMP Health- Ave Maria, Jamestown.

Betty Lou was born April 26, 1931, in Jamestown, the daughter of Arthur and Marie (Seidl) Lockard.  She received her education in Jamestown schools and was united in marriage to Lyle Bohnenberger on January 16, 1947 in Jamestown.  They lived at Cloquet, MN for some time, and then returned to Jamestown where their home has been since.  Betty was a busy homemaker cooking, baking, gardening and canning, entertaining friends and family, yet finding time to work puzzles and sell dolls at rummage sales.  Lyle passed away on September 30, 2015.

Betty is survived by her sons, Gerald Bohnenberger, Everett (Nancy) Bohnenberger; daughter, Debra (Foy) Hinton; son-in-law, Ken Elhard; six grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Annabel Lockard and Lorraine Lockard.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lyle; sons, Brian and Steven; daughter, Diana Elhard; granddaughter, Tammy Norheim; and siblings, Henry (Isabel) Schwitz, Richard Lockard, Irene (Stewart) Thompson, Ruby (Ralph) Berrie, Gerald Lockard, Richard Lockard, Lyle Lockard, Everett Lockard, Melvin Lockard, Walter Lockard, and Martin Lockard.

Graveside Service – 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown.
