Betty E. Franzen

Betty E. Franzen, 92, Jacksonville, Fla., formerly of Jamestown, ND died Thursday, May 26, 2005 at All Saints Nursing Home, Jacksonville, Fla.

Betty Marquardt was born November 26, 1912 in St. Paul, MN to Albert and Hazel Marquardt. Betty grew up and attended school in Pettibone, ND. On June 1, 1941 she married Archie Franzen. She made her home in Pettibone until 1971. Archie passed away September 25, 1962. Betty moved to Jamestown in 1971. She was employed with James River Mutual for fourteen years. Betty retired in 1983. She moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 2002. Betty was a member of Eagles Auxiliary, Eastern Star and National Republican Women. She loved to play bingo and travel.

Betty is survived by one daughter, Charlene Adamsons, Jacksonville, Fla., sister, Ruth Fisher, Wapheton, ND; brother-in-law, Ken (Bess) Franzen, Beaverton, OR; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents;

Funeral Service: 2:00PM, Wednesday, June 1, 2005 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel, Jamestown.

Visitation: Tuesday, May 31, 2005 from 1:00PM to 8:00PM at the funeral home.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Jamestown.
