Betty June Hoye

February 22, 1932 — March 16, 2017

Betty Hoye, 85, Heaven gained an angel March 16, 2017, Jamestown ND in the comfort of her home with her family at her side.

Betty June Grabinger was born February 22, 1932 in Turtle Lake, daughter of Norbert and Inez Grabinger. She grew up in the Windsor area, graduated from St. Johns Academy in Jamestown, ND and attended college in Valley City, ND.

Betty married the love of her life – Marvin Hoye on November 26, 1951 in Windsor, ND. Together they shared 65 beautiful, wonderful years together as well as 7 children – Dennis (Linda Lane) Hoye, Valley City; Geri (Mike) Luessen Jordan, Canby OR; Kathy (Mark) Reiniger, Fargo; Cindy (Clayton) Hansen, Jamestown; Andy Hoye, West Fargo; Jeff (Elisha) Hoye, Casselton; and Patti (Cletus) Fandrich, Fergus Falls, MN.

Betty is survived by her loving husband, Marvin, 7 children, 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, brother Fred (Karen) Grabinger, 2 sister-in-laws Laverne Hunt and Lois Grabinger and many nieces, nephews, cousins and sons, daughters, brothers and sisters by choice.

Betty lived a full and happy life, wintering in Pharr, TX and spending much of her time sewing, crafting, playing cards, dominos and being with friends and family. She was an example of spunk and devotion for so many, and a friend and inspiration to all.

At her request, there will be no funeral or prayer service.

The family would like to extend a deep and sincere thank you to JRMC Hospice and Home Health for their kindness and care.
