Betty Jean Moores, 81, Jamestown, ND died peacefully on Friday, June 25, 2004 in Jametown.

Jean Guymer was born January 5, 1923 in Jamestown, the daughter of George and Irene (Puphal) Guymer. She received her education in Jamestown Schools, also attending and graduating from Jamestown College in 1946.

She married Paul Moores in Jamestown on August 25, 1946. For a short time they lived in the Fargo area, returning to Jamestown in 1949. While living in Jamestown she was employed at Goodrich Corp. (formerly Western Gear Corp & Lucas Western), from 1974 until she retired in 1988.

Jean was a faithful member of the Grace Episcopal Church, Jamestown.

Jean is survived by five children, Thomas (Diana), West Fargo, ND; Barbara, Minneapolis, MN; Charles (Carol), Coeur D Alene, ID; Mary, Devils Lake, ND; John (Ginna), Duluth, MN; Nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and step-father, Charles Coyer.

Funeral Service; 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 1, 2004 at Grace Episcopal Church, Jamestown, ND with The Rev. Bart Davis officiating.

Visitation; 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at Eddy Funeral Home.

Burial; Highland Home Cemetery, Jamestown, ND
