Elise ""Betty"" Radtke, 75, Jamestown, North Dakota died Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at Central Dakota Village in Jamestown.
Betty was born February 15, 1930 in Manitoba, Canada, the daughter of John and Gudbjorg (Johnson) Dubois. Her family moved to Walhalla, ND where she grew up and received her education, graduating from Walhalla High School. She lived in Napoleon for some time. Betty married Vernon Radtke on September 30, 1978. They moved to Jamestown and she worked as a dietician for the North Dakota State Hospital.
Betty is survived by her husband; a step-son, LaVeron Radtke of Jamestown; one sister, Arndis Omberg, Aitkin, MN; three sisters-in-law, Nancy Thomasson, Cavalier, ND, Norma Thomasson, Washington, Gloria Johnson, Alaska; niece, Ida McLeod, Minnesota, niece, Carol of Washington; a nephew, Butch Thomasson of Cavalier, ND and friends, Duke Miemietz and Al Holzkamm, both of Jamestown and Carol of Washington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Paulina Jonasson and Carolina Dearinger and six brothers, Stephan Thomasson, Gunnar Thomasson, Egill Thomasson, Magnus Johnson, Gudmundur Johnson and John Dubois.
Memorial Service: 1:30 PM, Friday, February 10, 2006 at the Eddy Funeral Chapel, Jamestown with Rev. Dick Boyd officiating.
No visitation is scheduled.
