Betty Lou Schaible

Betty Lou Schaible passed away September 13, 2023, in Jamestown, ND. Betty was born on February 4, 1939 in Chaseley, ND to Ted and Ann Weippert.  She attended school in Hurdsfield, ND.  Betty worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in Newport News, Virginia during her younger years and when she moved on to Jamestown, ND she worked in several different capacities for 33 years at the North Dakota State Hospital.  When Betty wasn’t cleaning or doing yard work, she enjoyed going to yard sales, playing bingo, watching horse racing, and traveling.  Betty always had a way of making people smile and laugh and will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Betty is survived by her brother and sisters Jerry Weippert (wife Rita) (Bullhead City, AZ), Beverly Christopherson (husband Ray) (Bullhead City, AZ), Bonnie Weippert (Jamestown, ND), and Terry Weippert (Brenda) (Jamestown, ND); her children Gregg Olsen (Jamestown, ND), Brenda Hietpas (husband Bryan) (Virginia Beach, VA), and Rickey Olsen (wife Julia) (Union City, TN); her grandchildren Christopher Olsen (wife Tammy) (Jamestown, ND), Chelsea Hietpas (fiancée Ryan) (Aydlett, NC), Samantha Olsen (Germany), Emily Olsen (Austin, MN), Brittany Perry (MN); and her great grandchild Matteo Olsen (Germany); her nephews Troy Weippert, Clark Willits, Darby Wohl, Scott Weippert and Shane Weippert.  Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband Arthur P. Schaible, brother Robert Weippert, and two sons Gene and Chad.  Betty is also survived by her best friend, her dog Roxy.

Funeral Service – 10:30a.m., Thursday, September 21, 2023, at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown ND with Pastor Erik Weber.   Burial will follow at North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Mandan, ND at 2:00pm.

Eddy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
