Billye Dahlstrom

November 28, 1934 — October 17, 2006

Billye Fern Dahlstrom, born November 28, 1934, left this earthly life on October 17th, 2006, after battling breast cancer for more than a year. She was born in Texhoma, Oklahoma to Edith and Jennings Fitzgerald. Billye attended school in Sheridan, Wyoming and later moved to Denver, Colorado, where she graduated from High School in June 1953. Upon graduation, she worked as a bookkeeper fro the 1st National Bank of Englewood. She met Bill Dahlstrom, an airman at the Air Force gunnery school, and they were married August 20, 1954. They moved to Jamestown, ND in January 1956 where they have since lived and raised their family. Billye has been a member of the local Art Association and has participated in many of the art shows in town. Her love of painting, drawing, and other medias has been her joy and passion. Billye has completed a series of paintings called, ""The Life of Christ,"" which were the highlight of both her faith and her incredible talent. Billye's other talents, joys and hobbies were gardening quilting, crocheting and reading. Billye is survived by her younger sister, Carolyn Sharp; three children, Laura Dahlstrom, Dale (Chris) Dahlstrom, Linda (John) Blanco; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Leland Dahlstrom; one aunt, Lorene LeGros and nieces, Carol Christ and Gigi Walters, and many extended family members. Billye was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Bill Dahlstrom.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at the High Acres-Manor Chapel in Jamestown, on Tuesday, October 24th at 10:45 AM, officiated by Rev. Laura Dahlstrom and Rev. Larry Dahlstrom.

Memorial benevolence may be donated to Jamestown Regional Hospice in her honor and in tremendous gratitude for their extreme attentiveness and loving care over this past year. Donations can be sent to the Jamestown Hospital Foundation (Hospice), 419 5th Street NE, Jamestown, ND, 58401.
